What is another phrase for TRUMPS TARIFFS ? - simple : PURCHASE TAX ! 

So many people have weighed in on this subject so I thought I would put my own two cents on too ! Let’s look at it clearly . How does the current supply chain work ? Does this trade war actually MEAN anything or is it not as blown up As was thought. JUST SMOKE AND MIRRORS and more fake news ? 

So imagine you have a brand - MOTHERCARE … and you guarantee buying of that product by going to the factory in China and say - I’ll invest by buying up ALL the rights to that brand and that product . It costs for example for the product 1 dollar .I then transship it to SWINDON . 

But this is not the end goal … NO.. NO NO it goes to AFGHANISTAN ( next to CHINA ) and it ends up being bought by 1% of the population on a special store . The same happens to every other country in the world . 

But it doesn’t sell at the cost price of one dollar ( what was paid by the head office of mothercare to the Chinese factory - no … the afghans pay 100 dollars for that product or 50 - but it is sold to that outlet for 10 - 20 even 100 times the origin Manufacturing cost ..

Apple phones do the same thing- iPhone goes for only 10 or 25 dollars in the factory - that’s how much it costs .but the iPhone 15 pro max sells for over 1200 usd in London . 

Then take cacao produced or farmer in the Ivory Coast . Farmers may get one dollar a kilo but it’s sold on the New York stock

Market for 25 usd . This is the inequality  in the 21st century trade  wars we are seeing with the DISRUPTION of the tariffs . 

But are they economically sound ? 

I would argue they are and more just than the current system - so WHO benefits this system ? 

That’s obvious - the stock market and the shareholders because it’s all about supply and demand . 

So who is making the money ? 

Yes China if they produce millions of the same product or the ones who SELL it to their consumers … 

They make the Biggest profit . So it does not matter 145% tariff on one dollar . If you’re selling something for 20 times or 100 times what you paid for it .. YOU make giant profits . Not China . 

So it’s the American people who benefit most ! 

Look at tariffs as purchase tax . If every country has to pay America for every product produced and exported to America it is a DROP IN THE OCEAN to what these big ass companies are making in profits on the stock market on Wall Street - that is why they are passed off at him because he’s exposed the long time gravy train scam and by sleuth introduced PURCHASE TAXES - something I advocated for South Africa back in 2013 . It’s nothing new . These guys - American companies and British companies have been ripping off the poor consumer for donkeys years and guess what - they pay less taxes too ! 

If China adds on 145 on one dollar - it’s still only 245 - and mother date still makes bumper profits ! 

You might say what about the market price ? What about the stocks ? It doesn’t matter - his policies are not only adding more money to reducing the deficit  by billions every week . The whole scenario has been blinding all the smart economists because it isn’t the wanted narrative !

WE AS CONSUMERS HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF FOR YEARS AND YEARS ! the tariffs are a way of benefitting the common man and putting more pressure on the big companies with big profits and an exclusive monopoly on world consumer markets through BRAND PROTECTION ! 

And forget robotics for apparel . You need humans still . No if anything these giant factories will continue making stuff in China with the brand saying it’s gonna give the consumer a break ( hell no ) by not raising prices - all of that is pure and utter GREED - 

This system must end and tariffs are the best way to do it to bring the trillion dollar deficit which has subsidised these mega companies for decades . It ends now . Plus the introduction of “ purchase tax  gives everyone the chance to choose more carefully what they want - and not pay through the nose for it simply because of the name .
