Our basic pillars: the first document created for the africa unite party The Africa Charter

This is to show how we are developing as a party...our philosophy..our ideology... step by step...

-it took the ANC 72 years to get into power... (we have been going for around 9 years as an unofficial movement..)

We still have a big learning curve - but we are getting there slowly but also very fast!

The Africa United Declaration aka :
"THE AFRICA CHARTER "-

( DRAFT )

"We, the people of South Africa this day, December 6th,2013 on the passing of Nelson Mandela-Our first president declare to all the world :

1. AFRICA SHALL BE FREE!- AFRICA SHALL BE UNITED!- AFRICA SHALL BE ONE NATION UNDER GOD!"

2.We stand UNITED against ALL bigotry, racism, inequality, injustice, xenophobia, prejudice and discrimination between all peoples.

3.We, the people look to our founding fathers and their words, and honour their struggle for independence ,self determination and self empowerment.

4. We hold TRUE that ALL human beings irrespective of colour or creed should be protected by the law of the land which is equal, fair and just to all irrespective of culture , gender ,race and national boundary.

4.We stand up for the blood of the martyrs of all Africans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their love of this great land. We hear their voices from the ground and we remember them. From.the North to the South and from the West to the East. From the Nile to the Congo. Each river , each desert , each mountain , each plain.

They will not be forgotten.

5.We believe our land of Africa is blessed with abundant resources and there is enough for everyone to share. Poverty,  and poverty mentality must be abolished!
 It must be made history.

We stand together against greed, self interest, nepotism, cartels and corruption. There is no place for it in this age.

6. We, the people call upon our authorities to make schools free for all, hospitals free for all - public services  and roads free for all- and housing free for all- No one needs to suffer from ignorance, waste or apathy  or die of poor medical care. No one needs to be homeless. We also call upon reforms of our prisons. schools ,hospitals and other social- economic and political  institutions.

The fundamentals of human life are not just a social right for some , but a human one for ALL!

7. The Africa United Rainbow Coalition stands by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights- we believe that all should be responsible -and accountable for violations of them. Conscience is within us all.

May all Africans know and practise their rights for the sake of justice, life, happiness, peace and joy in this new country we all  call "AFRICA"

“ An insult to one,  is an injury to all!” Therefore, the new africa will be one of compassion , empathy and solidarity.

8. We, the people declare that Africa is for Africans and that there is a place for ALL under our common sun -irrespective of race, tribe or belief.

We hold true that our economy must be based on a meritocracy; that all forms of apartheid must cease immediately ! Forever.

We call upon all those in the Diaspora to return to Africa, your home and build it into what it should be. Prosperous and just.  Independent - interdependent and fair for all!

9. We hold true that the elderly, the sick ,the weak, the vulnerable ,the outcast and the stranger should be afforded all the care and help necessary to give them dignity, integrity and self respect which is the basis of human life.We are all human beings . We are all Africans under the sun.

10. South Africa, our Rainbow Nation and Africa will protect and speak up for all minorities to promote peace and stability for Africa and be a beacon of light for all humanity.
"A shining light for the nations!"

Let Freedom- Unity Peace and LOVE reign forever and ever ! amen.

May God Bless  and Keep Africa always.

Mayibuye ! iAfrica. Amen.

 Awoosha!

to me, Charles
Hi Robin and Charles,

I trust both of you are well?

I have attached some screen shots of where we started experimenting with the black and gold idea Robin had. We tried using the red and white Africa Unite logo but it didn’t look all that good with the black and gold so we redrew using the black and gold theme, let me know what you think?
Please let me stress that this was one of our first attempts at the black and gold theme and I have requested quite a few changes that the designer is busy implementing. I have asked for changes to the header in particular. We tried using a lot of the black and gold but it just didn’t look that great.
Please also note; Our thinking is to keep the black and gold simple and understated but to accentuated it with vibrant graphics and African textures.

We are busy designing some sliding panels like the DA example below with ads against RMV and promoting your financial book. I will send examples when they are done.

I thought I must give more clarity regarding what I mean by content. Content for the web is always brief and to the point. It contains an engaging headline and the first few lines of text must give the reader a good idea as to the content of the article. If in doubt keep it short. For example Helen Zilles newsletter is around a page. Good content normally contains a relevant picture. People tend to read something if it has a good picture associated with it. Ok so the question is what sort of content? Interesting news is always good if it is relevant. What is the party doing for its members? People like to feel important! Comment on current events should go through the social and blog feeds. Robin, newsletters are good but keep them short and to the point.

Here is an example from the DA’s website.

Regards

Jason
