SOUTH AFRICA FAILS TO IMPLEMENT VISA AGREEMENTS WITH KENYA

South Africa and Kenya directed by Both presidents of both countries had their counterparts agreeing to visa regulations being eased by December 2018. Kenya has a FREE visa on arrival policy at any of its ports of entry for South African citizens.

In fact they are given 90 days on arrival. Immediately. Not so for Kenyans.... They must pay... If they qualify... Even as a tourist.

Lorna Matalanga is one of many Kenyans turned back at the border and even refused the right to apply for a visa... Simply because her point of entry is not a country she is resident of eg Botswana. When the AUP looked into this issue we discovered the home affairs minister Mr Gigaba has not implemented the agreement with his Kenyan counterpart.
In fact even if she was able to apply for a visa from Botswana... Which she isn't... It would cost her 75 usd and she would have to wait another 10 days to 14 days for an answer. Plus she would have to supply bank statements and a return flight ticket.

Now she must return back to Kenya because of false information and fake news.

Not only is this a shameful and disgraceful way to treat people who trust in what has been reported on the internet... Even by the vfs site of the South Africans... It is an insult to pan African relations... And bilateral trust between the two nations.

If you are a Kenyan traveling to south Africa... Contact your local South African embassy to verify the requirements to travel. Hundreds if not thousands of Kenyans have suffered at the hands of the greedy, LYING and lazy home Affairs ministry of South Africa who care more about hindering trade and tourism than in helping it prosper.
The Africa unite party is committed to promoting pan African unity and to making povety history throughout the African continent.
If you are one of those people aggrieved by the actions of the south African immigration and visa service... I suggest you make a complaint to the home affairs in Pretoria and to shame the south Africans into action to right this wrong. The perception amongst many Africans in Africa is that South Africa is violent, racist and xenophobic. By refusing entry into South Africa of Kenyan visitors or making it impossible for them. To come as a tourist...and indeed not even sticking to what you agreed on in the first place... You are sending out the wrong message to the rest of Africa.

Let's scrap the fee paying visas once and for all.
